The Greatest Summer

The greatest summer I have ever had was when Laura came to Las Vegas with me for the whole summer. I was moving back to Las Vegas and she was dying to come with me.
Throughout the week we were supposed to leave, we had to pack everything in the car, which is a green suburban that seated eight people. Our luggage was placed on top of the car in a carrier, and on the back of the car we had a hitch with a stand on it that held more of our luggage. There was eight people in the car, three dogs, and two cats. My mom and my dad were in the front seats, my three brothers were in the back seat and Laura, me and my sister were in the very back seat. The dogs were in the very back in the cargo area. Needless to say, it was a tight fit. Extremely bored, Laura and I tried to think of ideas to make us not so bored. We started singing and waving at everyone we passed, everyone that saw probably thought that we were idiots. We had driven for two days straight, all of us were extremely tired.
We finally stopped at a Holiday Inn in Alberqueque, New Mexico. My brother and sister, jumping with joy ( adjective shifted out of order), were so excited to not be sitting in a car anymore. The hotel had a pool so we went swimming, and later we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant called Sadie's. When we got back to the hotel Laura and I were just hanging out. We were talking on the phone and we dressed my little brother up as a girl, it was so funny because he could have passed for a girl. Laura told me that she had to tell me something, but she did not want to tell me inside so we went outside. We were out there talking and then there were these two scary-looking guys that started walking towards us. Scared ( participle) , Laura and I decided to go back inside but the door was locked. We were banging on the door for my brothers to let us in but it took them a while to get to the door but we finally got in. About an hour later Laura told me she had to tell me something again. This time when we went outside we brought the room key just in case. The two guys came back and we were so scared. We tried to open the door with the room key but it would not work. We started running in place ( active voice) at the door and Laura started screaming " We don't have the ice". It does not make any sense to why she was saying that, but Laura being the crazy girl she is, made the scary guys start laughing at us. We still could not get inside, but because we were leaning on the door we fell when we finally got in. Breathing hard ( absolute), Laura and I decided not to go back outside again. The next moring we left the hotel and continued our journey to Las Vegas. When we finally got to Las Vegas we had many other adventures and good times. We went swimming everyday. Trying to be cool, Laura decided to dive off the diving board and her swim bottoms fell off. It was really funny. Laura was only there for three weeks and it was so much fun. I loved it, like I said earlier it was the greatest summer I ever had.
